The Modern Mandolin Workshop is a 3-day experience aimed at teaching accessible techniques to add color to your traditional playing or take you beyond bluegrass. Regardless of your favorite styles, the Modern Mandolin Workshop will expand your expertise and inspire countless new ideas that will raise your playing to new heights.

The camp is geared towards intermediate, advanced and professional musicians

WHO WE ARE

Modern Mandolin Workshop is operated by Round Window Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on building community through professional musical development in the stringband community. We run Banjo Summit, Modern Mandolin Workshop, Choro Summit, and Round Window Press (boutique banjo transcription books).

WHY THIS CAMP IS RIGHT FOR YOU

This faculty represents a small slice of the collective brain-trust of new sounds and thought on the mandolin. Our intent is to present topics and concepts both related to and far beyond bluegrass and traditional folk music.  

There is no beginner track at Modern Mandolin Workshop. There are many wonderful camps that offer that curriculum.
